Beomaster 900 receiver, manufactured in 1964, in excellent physical condition and tested and functioning.
Description from the seller
The inspiration for the Beomaster 900 came from the mind of Henning Moldenhawer. The first product of the new era was launched in 1964. The Beomaster 900 is a transistor receiver with AM and FM stereo radio.
It has highly efficient built-in antennas for AM and FM. The tuner section features a duplex dial drive, which means there are two separate dial drives, one for AM and one for FM. The advantage of this setup is that when switching from AM to FM, you can tune to the desired station without leaving the previous band.
The amplifier produces a typically vintage sound, that is, wonderfully velvety, rounded, and warm. This sonic comfort supports hours and hours of listening without any fatigue.
It doesn't require speakers of the same brand for us to extract the best sound it can produce, which is actually very good! The receiver sounds noticeably better with sensitive or easy-to-amplify speakers. It also prefers less dark, brighter, more airy, and open speakers. Although it has enough power to fill a normal room, it shows a preference for just ambient sound, given its low output power (6 watts per channel).
Another feature of this receiver is the presence of a contour/loudness filter on the volume potentiometer, which operates autonomously at low volumes.
Very interesting that there are three outputs for speakers: that is, besides stereo, we can add a subwoofer or a center speaker.
It also features two additional inputs, beyond the built-in tuner, for turntables and line (tape players, CD, etc.).
