Three ancient glass mosaic eye beads of Oud-Romeins culture, dating to c. 2nd century BC–2nd century AD, total weight 17.36 g, each bead 16 × 16 mm, all intact and in very good condition.

Three beautiful examples of antique glass mosaic eye beads in a brilliant color and featuring a round hole. The "eyes" are composed of two concentric rings of white and blue glass, surrounding a center of white, yellow, and blue glass. Items depicting "eyes" were often used superstitiously in antiquity as amulet to protect and ward off evil (or the evil eye).

The very dark blue glass bead has three 'eyes', weighs 5.59 grams and is 15 x 15 mm.
