Description from the seller

Prestigious late 19th-century English showcase, made with a solid mahogany structure and enhanced by curved side glasses in excellent condition.

The decoration is dominated by a refined inlay of amaranth, maple, and other precious woods: on the front, there is a central symmetrical motif reminiscent of stylized floral shapes and Victorian symbols of prosperity and harmony. The door's border is framed by an elegant gilded bronze frieze, while the side columns feature intertwined ribbon inlays, typical of late 19th-century English craftsmanship. The finely chased bronzes enhance the entire structure.
The base, shaped and well proportioned, follows the profile of the furniture with coordinated wooden inserts. Internally, the shelves are covered in fabric. The furniture is in good overall condition, with normal signs of age, repairs made with dark wax on the shelf, and a missing marquetry shown in the photo.

Seller's Story

I have always been passionate about our past, knowing it is the only thing that does not cease the connection between what is and what was. When I reached the right age I understood that my passion had to coincide with my work and so I opened a business. The key principles are quality and love towards the customer. Francesco Secondo
