Description from the seller
The chandelier features a style reminiscent of Liberty or Art Nouveau.
The arms of the chandelier and the decorative elements on the central part display the characteristic whip-like or floral curves of Art Nouveau.
It appears to be made of metal, probably brass, with a patina that suggests aging and authenticity. The presence of a slight copper green (verdigris) on some decorations reinforces this idea, indicating potential metal oxidation.
The floral/naturalistic decorations: On the central box, the applications representing stylized floral elements are typical of the Liberty style.
The Frange: The lower part of the central box is adorned with dark fringes, which add a touch of elegance and evoke the aesthetic of the era.
Glass diffusers: The bell-shaped diffusers in frosted or opaline glass contribute to diffused lighting and are consistent with the style.
Additional information
The period could date back to the early decades of the 20th century, around 1900 to 1920, marking the peak of Art Nouveau's flourishing.
Condition of preservation: the chandelier is in good condition, with some signs of age that can add charm, but also with some signs of aging.
