Exceptional fireplace insert from a French chateau. An impressive pair of French bronze doors in their original frames, dating from the mid-19th century. The surround is beautifully decorated with lovely tiles featuring floral patterns and the French lily. The heavy bronze doors have an openwork motif and a beautiful plinth. Beautifully crafted and suitable for any interior.
With original patina. This is a very heavy-duty piece. It was originally intended to be placed in front of a fireplace to decorate it while also allowing warmth and light to pass through.
