Ronco del Gelso's "Siet Vignis" Chardonnay is a Friulian version of the great Burgundy white, combining the terroir of the grapes with a carefully chosen aging method that gives the wine a more international character. The use of wood, in fact, gives the Chardonnay its characteristic notes of ripe fruit, intensity and smoothness on the palate, and aromatic richness and breadth, especially appreciated by those who prefer harmonious and complex white wines. It is a wine that seduces with its length and persistence, making it ideal for pairing with elaborate fish dishes or delicate white meats.

The "Siet Vignis" Chardonnay is produced by one of the most important and renowned wineries in the Isonzo area. Founded about twenty years ago, Ronco del Gelso cultivates 26 hectares of vineyards, which extend from the hilly area of ​​Cormons towards the Isonzo plain. This is a highly suitable area for growing grapes, thanks to its alluvial soils, which are lean and rich in rocks and pebbles. The climate is mild and temperate, thanks to the shelter provided by the Julian Alps to the north and the openness to sea breezes from the Adriatic. These characteristics have made the area particularly suitable for growing white grapes, and Chardonnay has found a terroir where it can express itself at interesting levels of quality. The Chardonnay vineyards cover a total of 3 hectares, divided into seven parcels, which give the label its name. It is a blend of grapes with different characteristics, which contribute to creating the right aromatic complexity and the perfect balance between the various components of the wine.

The white Chardonnay "Siet Vignis" from the Friulian winery Ronco del Gelso is the expression of an international grape variety that has been present in Friuli Venezia Giulia for centuries, endowed with extraordinary versatility and the ability to adapt to different climates. The grapes are vinified as a white wine with fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 19°C using selected yeasts. Before bottling, the wine ages for 12 months in 25-hectoliter oak barrels on the lees. In the glass, it presents a pale yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, it offers rich and enveloping aromas, with notes of citrus, ripe yellow fruit, tropical fruit, hints of pastry, and nuances of vanilla. On the palate, it displays a good structure, with a broad, juicy, and satisfying mouthfeel. The harmonious and persistent finish closes with savory and refreshing sensations. A noble international grape variety and a splendid terroir united by a great producer.
