Beautiful collection of untreated natural ruby weighing 30 grams, 153 cts. The Mozambique ruby, a 21st-century discovery, is named after the country where it originates. The price, appearance, and hardness of rubies are very similar to those of other gemstones. The colored stones known as 'pigeon's blood rubies' have a long history.
In different traditions, ruby is considered a precious stone that can provide protection against negative energies and the so-called evil eye.
Since time immemorial, rubies have been believed to protect their wearers. That is why in the Middle Ages it was common to adorn knights' swords with these gems.
The photos were taken with white light, and a single photo with UV light where the authenticity is demonstrated by its reaction to it. The measurements are approximate, 1 x 0.8 x 0.5 cm.
