Maroz Diamonds was established in 1984 by Mordecai (Moty) Wallenstein, who runs the firm together with his son, Assaf, who joined the company in 1996. Mordecai & Assaf are members of both the Israeli Diamonds exchange and the Israeli pricious stones exchange. Moty Wallenstein originally joined the precious gemstones sector, and specialized diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies. With an office in Germany's well-known gemstone center, Idar-Oberstein, Moty serviced clients throughout Germany. With the opening of Maroz Diamonds, the company was deeply involved in the American diamonds and jewelry market. Assaf spent two years working in the U.S office along with the firm's local partner where he established a wide network of customers. The U.S. office specialized in diamonds and jewelry to the American market. With decades of experience in trading polished diamonds, Moty and Assaf deal in diamonds from 0.10 carats up to 4-5 carats in all colors, particularly in special colors, in clarities I to VS.
