For the first time in 16 years, Walt Disney Pictures revived the concept of feature-length theatrical films accompanied by a short film. The financial success of Buena Vista Pictures' theatrical box-office hit Who Framed Roger Rabbit was the decisive factor that led to three all-new Maroon Cartoon short films starring Roger Rabbit and Baby Herman, with cameos from Jessica Rabbit and Droopy Dog. Tummy Trouble was the first animated film in the never-to-be-repeated, short-lived series, produced by the Walt Disney Feature Animation team in collaboration with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment.
