Polaroid 405 and 545 Instant film holders for 4x5 cameras are in good physical condition and are not tested.
Description from the seller
On Offer is a pair of instant film holders for 4x5 cameras.
They are both in good condition in their original boxes
The boxes show considerable wear, and the 545 Box has been taped back together on the bottom.
Polaroid 545
The Polaroid 545 holder is in very good condition and shows only very minor wear from use. You can see where film cassettes have been inserted over its lifespan, and the white lettering has been rubbed away a bit on the one side, but the rollers are spotless and roll smoothly, and the rubber on the second roller is still supple and not dried out/hardened by age or improper storage. While no new type 50 film is produced anymore, older expired film is still to be had from all the usual sources. One can also shoot Instax Wides using the 545 holder with a little effort.
Polaroid 405
The holder looks to be in good condition. There is some discolouration to the plastic on one side, as can be seen in the photos. However, it all still feels very robust, and the discolouration appears to be merely cosmetic. The rollers are clean and move freely and smoothly.
Unfortunately, due to the price of 4x5 instant film on the secondhand market, I am unable to afford film purely for the purposes of testing. As such, these holders are sold as untested. I have done my best to photograph and describe them as accurately as possibl,e but no further guarantees can be made.
