Description
Fragment of a funerary mask in stuccoed and painted wood, likely belonging to the lid of a small coffin intended for a girl or young woman. The face displays remarkably elegant features: elongated eyes, a well-proportioned nose and full, finely modelled lips, all characteristic of Third Intermediate Period craftsmanship. Traces of original pigment remain on the surface, with smooth stucco modelling and age-consistent fractures.

Condition
Good overall condition. Losses to the stucco, stable wood core, ancient patina and surviving original pigments.
