Two vintage mid‑century modern wooden tables from France, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear; the larger measures 72 cm wide, 37 cm high and 22 cm deep with a wood top and open shelf and black painted metal legs, while the smaller has the same height and depth but is 52 cm wide.
Description from the seller
2 vintage end tables or desks, representing the mid-century modern style of the 20th century.
Features
Style: The clean lines and the combination of different materials (wood and metal) are reminiscent of Scandinavian or French mid-century modern design from the 1950s or 1960s.
Materials: The table top and the open shelf underneath are covered in wood (probably teak or rosewood veneer). The thin, round legs are made of black painted metal.
Function: Depending on its design, it can function as a coffee table, end table or even a small desk.
Information
Similar tables were produced by companies such as 't Spectrum and are reminiscent of the work of designers such as Martin Visser or Pierre Guariche.
These pieces were often made with a formica (hard, durable laminate) surface, which was a popular and practical solution at the time.
I gave the size of the larger one above, the smaller one is the same size, only 20 centimeters shorter in width, so 37x52x22 centimeters.
Both are in very good condition, there is a mounting option on the back to attach to the wall if desired.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
