Description from the seller

Rod Stewart – Early Portrait by Bill Zygmant – Signed Limited Edition 2/30 – Large Colour Print

Description

A rare early colour portrait of Rod Stewart, photographed by renowned British celebrity photographer Bill Zygmant.
This is one of Zygmant’s earliest and least-circulated images of Stewart, taken during a period when colour portraiture of major music artists was far less common. The photograph shows Stewart in his classic late-70s/early-80s style, captured with Zygmant’s trademark natural-light realism.

This print comes from a strictly limited run of 30 copies and is hand-signed by the photographer in blue ink.
Numbered 2/30 – a low, highly desirable edition number.

Printed on high-quality photographic paper with a generous white border for framing.

Photographer

Bill Zygmant (UK)
A well-known photographer of major musicians and entertainers from the 1960s to 1990s. His work includes iconic portraits of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Bee Gees, Lulu, The Move, Bananarama, and many others.
Zygmant’s early colour prints are increasingly sought after due to limited surviving editions and his distinctive documentary style.

Provenance

This print comes directly from Bill Zygmant’s personal collection.
It was gifted to me by Bill during the period when I lived with him, and I will include photographs of myself with Bill (shown only as proof of provenance; not included in the sale).

“Bill Zygmant 2/30”
