Set of 2 Antique Door Knobs with Star-Shaped Backplates – ca. 1920 – Art Deco
In Excellent Condition – No Reserve
A rare and high-end quality set of two antique cast-iron door knobs with their original star-shaped backplates, dating from around 1920.
The geometric, radiating form of the star and the fluted mushroom-shaped knob are highly characteristic of the early Art Deco period, when bold architectural silhouettes and stylized geometry became a hallmark of modern design.
Both pieces have been fully restored and fitted with new galvanized threaded rods, making them ready for practical use or decorative installation.
