Lin Zhipeng - 123 Polaroids - 2021

A collection of works by Chinese photographer Lin Zhipeng. This book features 123 selected images from the photographer's extensive and exceptional Polaroid collection. Lin began taking Polaroid photos in his hometown of Canton in the early 2000s, delving into intimate memories of his loved ones, using low-cost Polaroid film, and capturing his travels across China, Tibet, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Europe.
This book presents an immense variety of images, including love, nudity, provocative and penetrating portraits, landscapes and colorful people, bodies embracing with playful and melancholic expressions, eroticism, and a sense of lack, all captured with the wonderful imperfection of the medium and the photographer's talent.
