Pair of Iridescent Cleoniceras Ammonites – Cretaceous Period – Madagascar
A beautiful matched pair of Cleoniceras ammonites displaying vivid natural iridescence across their nacreous surfaces. These specimens, originating from the Cretaceous deposits of Madagascar, exhibit striking flashes of green, blue and rose when viewed under direct light, giving them exceptional visual appeal.
Each ammonite retains strong structural detail with well-defined ribbing and natural sediment preserved within the umbilical area. Surface fractures typical of the species have been professionally stabilised, ensuring secure and lasting preservation.
The larger specimen weighs 320 g and measures 10.3 × 8.2 × 3.1 cm.
The second specimen weighs 255 g and measures 9.9 × 7.8 × 2.9 cm.
