Description from the seller
Welcome to this special sale of books by authors listed in the Chinese Photobook by Parr & Lundgren. This book, 'Modern Times,' is listed in Chinese Photobook on pages 414-415.
Patrick Tsai is an American-Taiwanese photographer based in Tokyo. In 2008, the year of the Beijing Olympics, he traveled to China and produced these photographs titled 'Modern Times'. It results in a somewhat surreal travel journal of a modern commercial society invaded by the excesses of the West, also highlighting the emptiness of social media among the new generation, where people photograph anything. It is a brilliant book that can be seen either as a critique of the new Chinese capitalism or as a piece of pop culture born from Patrick Tsai's mind.
Exemplary in excellent condition, practically like new. A book from my personal collection kept with the utmost care. Protected shipping with reinforced packaging and guaranteed international postal tracking. In case of multiple purchases, grouped shipping is possible with a refund of any overpaid postal fees via Paypal.
