Medieval horseshoe from the 14th–15th century with a folded edge, made of iron, in good condition, acquired from an auction house in Germany in 2002 and previously from a private collection, featuring a Wolfsangel heraldic mark and three nails.
Description from the seller
Rare and very well-preserved horseshoe from the Middle Ages, dating between the 14th and 15th centuries.
Centered are two coats of arms, with blacksmith marks in the shape of a shield, prominently featuring a Wolfsangel in the middle. In many German heraldic symbols, especially in southern Germany, the Wolfsangel plays a predominant role.
