Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
The item is a 1930 Petit XX tome (Deuxième année, no. 4) featuring Hergé's first appearance of Quick, in very good condition with four small holes along the spine.
Description from the seller
Historical booklet with the first illustration of Quick by Hergé: 'You don't know me... Well... I am Quick... and from today, I will be here every Thursday to tell you what happened to me during the week...'
Rare issue from Thursday, January 23, 1930, almost always missing from collections since subscriptions to the supplement 'Petit Vingtième' did not yet exist in 1930. Therefore, one had to buy or subscribe to the 'Journal du XXème siècle' to receive the 'Petit XXème' supplement on Thursdays.
This booklet is historic, as it illustrates for the first time, with this cover by Hergé, the new series 'Quick and Flupke.'
You don't know me... I'm Quick, Kid from Brussels...
This booklet features a double-page spread with the adventures of Tintin, Reporter in the land of the Soviets, with Tintin as a pilot, preparing to take off in a Soviet airplane…
Very, very good condition for this booklet, which has four small punctures near the spine—flattened with an iron—indicating that this copy comes from an old handcrafted binding.
