WMF / Geislingen - Historicism wine decanter - Pewter, silver-plated, gold-plated

Wine decanter/carafe, made from colorless mouth-blown ribbed glass (stand ground and polished) with a silver-plated exterior and an internally gilded tin mount. Decorated with the characteristic design language of historicism, such as relief motifs like flowers, tendrils, and Rocaille.
Made by the company WMF in Geislingen around 1880. Punched with the company mark on the handle.

Condition: Generally well preserved with signs of use, but no damages.

Dimensions: approximately 30 cm total height and approximately 13 cm in diameter.
