Rare ensemble of solid-bronze smithing tools from Europe in antique style, dating to around 1850–1900, comprising five pieces including a bronze hammer and four small burins/ciselets, total weight about 600 g, with dimensions 23 cm depth, 3 cm height, and 6 cm width.
Description from the seller
Rare set of antique bronze tools, entirely crafted in solid bronze. It consists of a heavy mallet and four small chisels/cutting tools used for working non-ferrous metals.
Bronze mallet: length 22 cm, approximately 600 grams. Beautiful workshop patina, with a slightly rounded head, typical of mallets used to strike without marking steel or chiseling tools.
• Four burins/chisels: approximately 5 cm long each, weighing about 200 g. Compact models with curved shapes and widened lips, used for repoussé, shaping, or precision hammering on copper, brass, or bronze.
Handcrafted work, probably from the late 19th – early 20th century.
In original state, authentic signs of use.
Ideal collectible pieces for a workshop cabinet, a jewelry showcase, or a thematic presentation on old crafts.
