Aardglobe THE EARTH GLOBE by Ernst Schotte & Co. from Berlin, circa 1870, enclosed in a fully enclosing brass graduated circle resting in a chair with a horizon ring. All of this is mounted on a classic wooden, turned, and black-lacquered stand with a tripod. A true eye-catcher with beautiful antique patina.

The ball is in excellent condition, quite rare for its age! Aside from a few small damages, the card sheet is complete and pure.
The horizon ring with seasons, wind directions, and the zodiac is somewhat damaged by the passage of time. It has been around for over 150 years. See the photos for its condition.
