This is the hardcover edition with the publisher's original cloth binding, featuring black boards with a white cloth spine, lettered in black.

Written by Lorraine Hansberry (1930-1965), a playwright and writer who was the first African-American woman to have a play performed on Broadway, titled 'A Raisin in the Sun'.

She also worked at the journal Panafricaniste 'Freedom'.

Lorraine Hansberry died at only 34 years old in 1965, the year following the publication of this work.

This book was also prepared with the help of the SNCC (Coordination Committee of Nonviolent Students).

Tract dimensions: 33 x 25.5 cm. Perfect condition (not torn or worn).

This book is in excellent condition, both inside and out, free of annotations and dog-eared corners. The cover still has sharp corners. At the top right of the front endpaper, there is a name: A Landesman. The dust jacket is missing.
