Description from the seller
This original French pocket lever corkscrew was made by Les fils de Jacques Pérille. It is named Subito. Made of nickel-plated steel, it consists of three parts: a spindle pivot, a support leg, and a handle support of the same shape as the Presto but slightly smaller. The captive spindle passes through a pivot that allows the corkscrew to tilt back and forth; it rotates freely within the pivot to enable the spindle to penetrate the cork. The long, curved handle allows, by pressing on the support leg, to extract the cork. The spindle is not protected, as it is a pocket corkscrew; the manufacturer was obliged to design a leather case. Complete and in working condition, with some light signs of wear, along with its leather pocket case bearing the slightly faded mark 'SUBITO' (France) — overall good condition. Auction history shows a highest sale around €1000 and a lowest around €320. Very good condition. Dimensions: overall length: 13 centimeters; handle width: 4 centimeters.
Wick length: 4 centimeters - 4 coils - weight: 90 grams - see photos
