An authentic Dayak mandau from Borneo, originating from the Boven-Mahakam area, the homeland of the Kenyah and Kayan peoples.

This example is exceptionally complete, including:
Traditional rattan knotwork that binds the sheath halves.
- A corresponding insert (fitting)
Amulets and decorative elements
Colored tufts of goat hair
A predator tooth attached to the sheath.

The grip is made from horn, richly decorated with characteristic aso motifs.

A unique and fully traditional object for collectors of ethnographic items or fans of Dayak art and weapons.
