Description from the seller

Signed handwritten letter by Guillaume Dubufe, dated January 30, 1908, in Paris.
Written in blue ink on a double sheet of vellum paper headed with the 'Permanent Committee of French Exhibitions of Fine Arts Abroad.'

In this letter addressed to a close acquaintance, Guillaume Dubufe organizes the sending of several artworks for an international exhibition. He confirms the selection of the large painting Douleur, his own portrait, as well as a small portrait of Coquelin the Elder, specifying that the latter will be officially solicited via a letter signed by Bonnet. He emphasizes the importance of this representation abroad and announces their upcoming meeting at the Cercle.

Dear friend
That's fine: we will have from you the large portrait: 'Pain' which we will send on Sunday to whom it may concern; plus my portrait, and finally, thirdly, the (small) portrait of Coquelin the elder, to whom we will very officially write, under Bonnet's signature. And you will thus be very well represented there, where it will be, very interesting.
See you soon, in any case, since you told me you'll come for the Cercle, and well, affectionate regards to you.

Dimensions: 13.5 x 21.5 cm
Condition: Good condition. See photos for more details.
Number of pages: 1 page

Guillaume Dubufe, born in Paris on May 16, 1853, and died at sea off Buenos Aires on May 25, 1909, was a French painter and illustrator. (Wikipedia)
