Detailed description
Elegant round box in silver-colored metal, crafted with embossing work and finely engraved decorations featuring garland motifs.
On the lid, in the center, there is a hand-painted enamel miniature depicting a female portrait in late 18th-century style, executed with beautiful chromatic rendering and detail.
The base features a series of stamps, among which the characteristic WMF mark of the period appears, indicating the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, one of Europe's most important manufacturers for silver and silverplate processing.
The interior still retains the original cover, with the vintage textile pattern, and shows normal oxidation and signs of age consistent with its over 100 years of age.
The hinge functions properly; the lid opens and closes without difficulty.
A refined collectible object, representative of the Liberty/Neoclassical aesthetic widespread in the early decades of the twentieth century.

Good overall condition, with normal signs of age: widespread oxidation on the metal, small scratches, interior with evident oxidation, intact and shiny miniature. No breaks, hinge functioning perfectly.

WMF proudly celebrates its silver plating process 'OX' and 'I/O,' which are highly resistant to use. The stamps on the bottom are compatible with the pre-1918 marking, used in the most finely crafted products.
