[Product Name]
KATO 3037-1 EH500 (3rd Batch)
[Description]
The EH500 is a powerful dual-voltage electric locomotive operated by JR Freight, mainly used on the Tohoku and Joban Lines for hauling container and oil trains. With its two-body articulated design, it provides strong traction and is regarded as one of JR Freight’s flagship locomotives.
The 3rd batch, built from 1999 onward, introduced improvements in equipment and a redesigned front end. Its striking red-and-gray livery earned it the nickname “Kintaro,” making it an iconic symbol of modern Japanese freight operations.
This KATO 3037-1 model faithfully reproduces the EH500 3rd batch, with accurate paintwork, numbering, and finely detailed features. An essential piece for recreating container freight operations, it is perfect for both layouts and collections.
