Improved operability for vertical shooting
To allow for the same comfortable operation when holding the camera vertically as when shooting horizontally, the following buttons and dials are included:

AE Lock/FE Lock button
AF point selection/Magnify/Reduce button
The enlarged grip improves the camera body's holdability (ease of gripping) and stability, especially when using heavy lenses such as telephoto lenses or when shooting handheld without a tripod.
