Description from the seller
From my personal #Opalwanted collection comes this unique gem: a magnificent rough Welo fire opal, weighing 61.5 carats. This natural crystal opal, still embraced by its original matrix, displays a vibrant and striking array of colors—intense reds, luminous greens, and flashes of orange—like tongues of fire trapped in stone.
This Ethiopian specimen combines the strength of water opals with the magic of inner fire, offering a visual spectacle that makes it an exceptional and rare find. Ideal for both collectors and gem enthusiasts seeking a specimen with character, authenticity, and natural beauty.
Color scheme: multicolored, with a clear presence of red (the most valued), electric green, deep blue, and shades of purple.
- State: Uncut and unpolished, which reinforces its authenticity and natural origin.
Wet condition: The images were taken with the opal slightly wet to highlight its true color.
- Size: 32 × 22 × 20 mm
- Color: Multicolored fire
A gem that not only dazzles, but also transmits the ancestral energy of the land where it was born
Fire Opal – Fragment of Vulcan's Heart
From the fiery bowels of the earth, where the titans forged their weapons and the gods hid their secrets, emerges this raw fire opal, a gem that seems to have been ripped from the very heart of Vulcan, the god of fire and the forge.
Its flashes of red, orange, green, and yellow are not mere colors: they are petrified flames, echoes of the first dawn that Helios kindled upon the world. It is said that opals like this one are born when Zeus's lightning strikes the rock, and that their brilliance is the reflection of divine pacts sealed deep within Olympus.
Still encased in its natural matrix, this specimen retains the imprint of primordial chaos, the texture of creation, and the brilliance of eternity. It is not just a stone: it is a reliquary of myths, a jewel that whispers legends to those who dare to listen.
Ideal for collectors who seek more than beauty: they seek history, power, and a connection with the sacred.
