Age: Upper Cretaceous, Cenomanian stage (~94 million years)
Size: 9,57cm long - Matrix: 10,5x7x0,9cm

Observations: Well preserved and unusual large fossil Shrimp (Carpopenaeus) coming from the famous Cretaceous outcrops of Lebanon. These fossil deposits were first mentioned by the Greek historian Herodotus where he said there were "fish in the stones". It is a fairly good quality specimen. Regarding its restorations or repairs, its outline has simply been slightly excavated to make it stand out (highligh) from its natural matrix. A stabilizer has also been applied to its surface for better preservation.
