Description from the seller
This wall clock is a characteristic example of classic craftsmanship, executed in a richly decorated style that is both functional and decorative. The upper section features graceful floral motifs in gold-colored relief, giving the piece an elegant appearance. The dial displays Roman numerals from I to XII and is adorned with two black hands, subtly contrasting against the light background.
Two black weights hang under the clock on fine chains, which, together with the long brass pendulum, provide the mechanical drive. The pendulum is attached to a lyre-shaped holder, a stylistic feature that recalls the musical and aesthetic influences of the 19th century.
This clock is not only a timepiece but also a work of art that enhances the ambiance of a historical interior. Thanks to the combination of ornamentation, mechanism, and symmetry, it is a valuable addition for enthusiasts of antique timepieces and classical home decor.
Due to its weight and size, pickup is only available in the Netherlands, Apeldoorn.
