Description from the seller
The Adventures of Tintin
Tintin Coke in stock
B24 - Casterman 1958.
The album is in very, very good overall condition: very good.
It has always been protected by a Mylar plastic cover that contains no acid, recommended for collectible comics.
No restoration has ever been carried out.
Back in almost new condition.
Plates in vivid colors, in gradient blue, with no signs of wear from friction, neither on the surface nor on the edges.
Blue covers are quite clean and in place.
The album is well-compact, with external plates and pages properly in place, tight and secure binding stitches.
Barely pressed hat. The back is naturally quite red and in very good condition.
Small light brown spots inside visible in two photos.
No glueing, no solvent smell. No pages missing.
No storage friction. Slices undamaged, with a homogeneous interior.
No folds on any page, a single finger stain in reading, two small tears at the bottom of pages 29 and 45, (easily repairable by a bookbinder).
A faint pencil inscription, which could be erased with a pencil eraser. No other writing or any children's drawings.
It is a 1958 edition album, very rare in such beautiful condition, suitable for a demanding collector and/or for good financial placement in their library.
The photos accurately reflect the condition of the album for you to assess yourself.
Kind regards
A.W.
Note:
Attached with the album is the comment from a comic book counter in Paris where I bought it in 2016.
Copy in a rare condition.
The first item is BRAND NEW, with black showing no signs of wear (note that the blue of the sky is slightly nuanced, and this is original, not retouched in any way). The interior is strictly new except for a small, insignificant pale stain at the bottom of the back of the cover page!
The edges are new. The corners are in tbe or ttbe. Only the caps are slightly compressed and perhaps lightly retouched. In short, a magnificent specimen, with very few imperfections.
