Description from the seller
A refined and luminous ring, made of 925 silver with a closed band measuring 17.5 mm in internal diameter. The main gem is a Welo Ethiopian opal, an oval cabochon measuring 13 × 8.5 mm, which captures light with yellow-green reflections and orange flashes, in a chromatic play that varies depending on the angle and light intensity. Ethiopian opals are considered among the most important gemological discoveries of recent decades: found in volcanic highlands, they form inside cavities of rhyolite rocks and owe their spectacular play-of-color to the presence of microspheres of silica arranged in a regular pattern. These microspheres diffract light, creating the visual spectacle on the surface. Beyond their gemological charm, Welo opal is surrounded by strong symbolism: in contemporary tradition, it is regarded as a stone of renewal and transformation, capable of stimulating creativity and spontaneity in the wearer. This ring thus combines aesthetic value with symbolic meaning, offering a piece of jewelry that is not only ornament but a small chest of light and natural energy.
