Medieval stoneware vase from Raeren.
Stoneware pot with beige salt glaze. Bulging shape, finger-ridged base, straight neck.
The body is decorated with circular striations.
The base is decorated with thumb-made marks.
Germany, city of Raeren, 15th/16th century
Diameter 7.6 cm - Height 6.6 cm
Good condition - no restoration
Provenance: Germany, Dr. D.E.R. Study.
Previously: an important private Dutch collection of medieval and Renaissance ceramics assembled between 1960 and 1980.
