Description from the seller

Welcome to the second auction by Anatole Desachy (France) and Ecki Heuser (Germany) in celebration of Paris. On the occasion of the 'Paris Photo' fair, we have gathered a new selection of classical and uncommon photobooks about the city of light. Enjoy and good luck with your bids!

This retrospective pays tribute to the renowned photographer Frank Horvat, particularly to his fashion photographs, which revolutionized the genre in the 1950s and 1960s. Starting in 1959 for Jours de France, he left the studio for the street, capturing his models in front of market stalls among the crowds of passersby. Later, he experimented with bold patterns or recreated film scenes, often working with a Leica 35mm.
New, in original plastic wrap with the print 'Paris, first collaboration with the Jardin des Modes, 1957'. Pigment print (created by the photographer), signed, titled, dated, and numbered 25 copies on a label on the back. Image: 34 x 52.5 cm / Sheet: 42 x 59 cm.
