The Lotus 97T was a Formula 1 car from the British racing team Lotus, used in the 1985 Formula 1 season.
The Lotus 97T was driven by Ayrton Senna and Elio de Angelis. They won three of 16 races in the season and achieved eight pole positions. The team finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship. Senna won his first of a total of 41 Grand Prix in the Lotus 97T at Estoril.

Ayrton Senna da Silva (* March 21, 1960, in São Paulo; † May 1, 1994, in Bologna) was a Brazilian racing driver. He was a three-time World Champion in Formula 1; he competed from 1984 until his fatal accident at the Imola circuit during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994.
