Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Caudal, an original pair of two sequential Sauropod vertebrae from the Morrison Formation, USA, Late Jurassic, conserved with Conservado treatment and in natural condition.
Description from the seller
Offered here is an impressive associated pair of Sauropod caudal vertebrae, collected from the iconic Morrison Formation (Late Jurassic, USA).
The two vertebrae are preserved in natural sequence, a condition that is exceptionally difficult to encounter in the field due to the enormous size of sauropod skeletons and the intense taphonomic processes that typically scatter vertebral chains over large areas.
Both vertebrae are mounted on a custom display stand combining plexiglass and forged iron, ensuring excellent stability and a clean, museum-style presentation.
Largest vertebra size: approx. 8 × 6 × 6 cm
Condition: Complete, consolidated, and well prepared
Origin: Morrison Formation, USA
Age: Late Jurassic (~150 million years)
The rarity of finding contiguous vertebrae from sauropods cannot be overstated. These colossal animals often left behind remains that were severely disarticulated, making associated pieces such as this pair particularly sought-after by collectors.
A remarkable display specimen that captures both the scientific importance and the aesthetic appeal of Jurassic giants.
Shipping: Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
Note: Please ensure compliance with local regulations regarding the acquisition and transport of fossil material.
