Russian icon of the 12 feasts. First half of the 19th century. Moscow school.
In the center is represented Easter with the Risen Christ, surrounded by twelve scenes of gospel episodes, celebrated in twelve different festivals throughout the liturgical year. See all the photos to view all 12 festivals.

Excellent school iconographer.
Dimensions: 40 by 33 cm. Thickness: 3 cm.
As seen from the label on the back, the icon was sold by the Mark Gallery - Russian icons, 16th- to 19th-century, Russian works of art - London.

Shipping only for the countries of the European Union.

Seller's Story

I mainly collect Murano chandeliers thanks to the collaboration with some companies that restore apartments and palaces in Venice. In this way, over time, I have recovered the chandeliers of elegant and often ancient houses in the lagoon and in the nearby areas. Murano glass has an incomparable charm: every piece, even the simplest, has a story hidden in its fragility and its iridescent light.
