Description from the seller
Nephrite jade pendant – Amulet of the Trigrams and the 12 Animals
A hand-carved nefrite jade disc, where the stone becomes an ancient language. The engraving follows the Eastern tradition of the Ba Gua, the eight trigrams representing natural balances and the movements of energy: heaven, earth, fire, water, thunder, wind, lake, and mountain. At the center, the Taijitu, the living knot between Yin and Yang, reminds us that every force contains its counterpart and that harmony arises from the continuous dialogue between opposites. Encircling the trigram circle is the entire cycle of the Chinese zodiac: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. A wheel with no beginning or end, symbolizing protection, good fortune, and the continuity of time. Each animal embodies a trait, a character, a virtue; together they form a kind of collective guardian, a procession watching over the wearer. The nefrite jade, with its deep, solid green, adds its intrinsic value: it is the stone associated with calm strength, longevity, and practical wisdom. It promises no exaggerated magic, but the solidity of something born to last. This pendant is a talisman in the purest sense: an object that tells a story of the world's order and keeps it close to the heart, without frills, only meaning. Non-certified jade.
