RONDO MIRROR designed by Oskar Zięta – diameter 75 cm – Zięta Collection – polished stainless steel
Height: 75.00 cm / Width: 75.00 cm / Depth: 6.00 cm / Weight: 6.00 kg / The package includes a mounting kit for Rondo.
Functional and artistic, the RONDO object expands the definition of a mirror. It is an inflated-steel narrative of its own design potential, achieved with the FiDU manufacturing technology.
RONDO—a high-gloss polished stainless steel beauty enclosed in a rounded form. The irregularities on the surface are the result of material deformation caused by internal pressure. Convexities curve the reflections of light, adding a unique character to any space where RONDO is placed. Large convexities on the surface individualize the reflections of the surroundings. Whether hanging or leaning against a wall, it captures new contexts and incorporates them into the space.
Depending on the size and finish, RONDO introduces new concepts into interiors. Finishes from the Gradient Collection resemble cosmic wonders, becoming a spark for deeper universal explorations of color. From the classic Inox steel, through the glossy Aurum Collection, to RONDO's unraveled matte dimension in the Cotton Candy palette. Each finish embodies minimalist elegance and a contemporary approach to design and art, as Zieta Studio creates objects or, as we like to call them, mirror-like sculptures.
RONDO is a tribute to Oskar Zięta's original method of manufacturing metal. To imagine it simply, picture two full-circle skirt patterns made from stainless steel sheets. These two elements are precisely and tightly welded together, then inflated with high-pressure air into a three-dimensional object. This volumetric expansion, often described as the "controlled loss of control," is a demonstration of advanced parametric programming and the material's free deformation process. This convex freedom results in unique deformations at the edges, which refract light and create an unrepeatable impression of softness.
OSKAR ZIĘTA
Graduated from the Szczecin University of Technology (currently, the West Pomeranian University of Technology), Department of Construction and Architecture, Szczecin, Poland, 2000. He was a scholar at ETH, Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland, from 2000 to 2001.

In 2010, he established the Zieta Prozessdesign company.
He invented the FIDU – Free Internal Pressure Deformation technology, which transforms flat, shaped surfaces made of two sheets of steel previously welded together into 3D objects by injecting a powerful jet of compressed air between them. He uses the FIDU technology in furniture and interior design, as well as in sculptures, including: NAWA sculpture – Daliowa Island, Wrocław, Poland; WIR – Galeria Północna, Warsaw, Poland.
His famous Ploop stool is in the collections of international museums, including the permanent collection of the Pompidou Centre in Paris, where it is presented as one of the twelve chairs that revolutionized contemporary design.
He has received many awards, including: Design Preis Schweiz, 2008; Red Dot Design Award, 2008; Materialica Design Award, 2009; German Design Award, 2009; Audi Mentor Prize by A&W, 2011.
