Roman bronze bivalve mirror
Roman mirror and bivalve box in cast bronze.
Convex mirror in brushed bronze on each side and two elements of a bivalve box decorated with raised concentric circles, one in gold-plated bronze, the other brushed on one side.
Roman Empire 1st century BC / 1st century AD
Good condition, with some missing parts.
Diameter: 11.2 to 11.5 cm.
Provenance information: Germany, Galerie B.L.S.
Previous provenance history, from a former German private collection.
