Description from the seller
Nephrite Jade Pendant – Relief Carved Tiger
A pendant that seems to hold a fragment of an ancient tale. The nephrite jade, in a very pale green with milky highlights, was hand-sculpted to form a powerful scene: a tiger in a poised position, its body tense, its mane modeled in flowing lines, while clouds and rocks emerge like a miniature landscape. The stone retains its natural firmness and the slightly polished surface typical of good-quality nephrite. The details of the relief—the folds of the fur, the sculpted clouds, the contours of the terrain—demonstrate careful, precise work, constructed with small strokes of the chisel. Mounted on a braided cord with a decorative red pearl, the pendant recalls the traditions of Eastern amulet-making: a symbol of protection, strength, and determination.
