Description from the seller
Côte Rôtie Guigal Trilogie La Turque La Landonne La Mouline
These three bottles are the emblematic highlights of Guigal's Trilogy. Wines awarded a rare 100/100 score by the eminent Robert Parker. Sought after by enthusiasts worldwide, they ignite desire with their reflection of the elegance and complexity of the Côte-Rôtie terroir.
Bottles in perfect condition, beautiful labels, intact caps, and perfect levels.
The Guigal Estate
Located in Ampuis, the birthplace of Côte-Rôtie wines, the Guigal estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, who arrived in the region in 1923 at the age of 14 and contributed to the rise of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. In 1961, his son, the young Marcel Guigal, took over the estate after his father was suddenly struck with total blindness. Today, the succession is secured by Philippe Guigal, Marcel's son, a brilliant oenologist and proud representative of the third generation.
The vineyard also extends across all the prestigious appellations of the Rhône Valley: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Hermitage, Gigondas, Crozes-Hermitage. They are all vinified and aged in Ampuis's cellars. Considerable care is taken in all viticultural tasks: reasoned fight (HVE certified), entirely manual work due to the slope of the plots, vinifications in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, aging in new oak barrels (up to 42 months for some cuvées) to allow the wine to fully express its aromas, and so on. The house produces three 'prestige' cuvées - La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque - a sublime triptych highly sought after by Côte-Rôtie enthusiasts.
In terms of heritage as well, the illustrious domain stands out: the headquarters is located at Château d'Ampuis, a Renaissance jewel protected as a Historic Monument. Maison Guigal is one of the most iconic in the Rhône Valley, renowned for its unwavering consistency and meticulous grape sourcing.
Delivered in its original wooden box.
