Description from the seller
Extremely rare Niels Kähler collectors item. It is more likely to find this model as a vase. But even as a vase. it is very rare in this size. I have not been able to find the model as a lamp version at all any where else on the Danish or international market.
The large and very heavy table lamp is designed by Nils Kähler and made by Herman A. Kähler´s ceramic in Denmark ca 1960s. The glaze is in Kaehler’s characteristic colour blue-green and very vivid with darker and lighter shades and elements.
Included is a quality lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
Both the shade and the base is in extraordinary good vintage condition! Absolutely No chips, cracks or repairs.
In the button the lamp is signed with "HAK" (for Herman August Kähler) and stamped “Denmark". There is also a number: 623 27
The base including socket is 40 cm in hight. And including the shade it is 55 cm.
Diameter is 23 cm.

Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period.

The ceramic workshop Kähler Keramikværksted was founded in 1839 and was a family workshop until 1974.
All the pottery is signed with "HAK" after the son of the founder Herman August Kähler. Nils Kähler is from the last generation before the pottery closed.
Today a new company produces pottery with the Kähler label but it´s not handmade in Denmark anymore.
