Rare Etruscan Votive Model of Female Genitalia

Description:
Terracotta anatomical votive representing the female genitalia, modeled in relief with a marked median incision and softly rounded contours. Made of coarse reddish clay with mineral inclusions and irregular firing tones ranging from brown to buff. The back is flattened and slightly concave, indicating its original use as a deposit piece in a sanctuary context. Such ex-votos were dedicated to deities connected with fertility, childbirth, and health, and are known from sanctuaries in Veii, Falerii, and Vulci.

Dimensions: Height 100 mm; Width 100 mm; Depth 100 mm.

Condition:
Fragmentary upper edge; otherwise stable with surface wear and ancient mineral deposits. No modern restoration.
