Navajo Spiderweb ring in solid 925 silver set with a large oval turquoise cabochon, weighing 19.18 g, size EU 57 / US 8, in very good condition with natural patina and micro-scratches.
Description from the seller
Impressive Vintage Navajo Style Ring - 925 Sterling Silver & Large Turquoise "Spiderweb" - 19.18 g
Stunning vintage ring in Native American (Navajo) style, crafted from solid silver and set with a remarkably large turquoise. This piece is distinguished by its traditional craftsmanship and the striking presence of the central stone.
Turquoise
The ring features a large oval cabochon of natural turquoise (likely stabilized for durability). The stone displays a beautiful, saturated sky-blue hue, characteristic of North American turquoise. It is traversed by a matrix (veining) of ochre, light brown, and cream hues, forming a partial spiderweb pattern that adds depth and character to the gem. The stone's surface is smooth and lustrous.
Frame and Design
The setting is crafted from 925 sterling silver. The stone is mounted in a bezel setting with an open back, revealing the raw back of the gem. It is surrounded by a decorative frieze of silver beads (often called "raindrops" in Navajo culture), creating a striking contrast with the blue. The ring's shank is solid and splits into two branches at the junction with the setting, ensuring good balance on the finger despite the size of the piece.
