Description from the seller

This pair of unique pieces in majolica was created by the renowned Faenza ceramist Franco Zauli (active in the 20th century), known for keeping the ceramic tradition of Faenza alive, reinterpreting it with a lively and opulent taste typical of his style. Both objects are signed on the bottom with the autograph inscription 'F. Z. Faenza' or 'F. Zauli Faenza,' guaranteeing authenticity and provenance.

Flared Neck Vase with Polychrome Decoration (measurements H. 26 cm x 11 cm x 11 cm).
An elegant tall and flared vase, characterized by a bulbous design that tapers towards the mouth.
Style and Decoration: The vase features a full-field decoration, rich and meticulous, blending stylized floral motifs, arabesques, and perhaps Zoomorphic or Pavona elements (traditional Faentine decor), executed with an extraordinary range of bright colors on enamel. The pattern covers the entire surface, creating an effect of vibrant upholstery.
Details: The color palette is dominated by intense shades such as turquoise, violet, orange, and emerald green, typical of high-quality Faentine majolica.
Company: The handwritten signature 'F. Z. Faenza' is present at the bottom (visible in the attached image: 2657.jpg).
Conditions: Excellent, with the shine of the enamel well preserved.

2. Centerpiece / Navicella Vase with Figurative Handles (dimensions 38 cm x 9 cm x 7 cm)
A suggestive centerpiece or boat-shaped object, equipped with two sculptural handles representing fantastic figures or stylized animal heads.
Style and Decoration: The central body is decorated with a sequence of wavy and spiral motifs, alternating pastel colors (purple, yellow-orange, gray) and framed by a floral border. The handles add a touch of strong eclecticism and plasticity to the object. The interior is smooth with a delicate rosette motif at the center.
Handles: The handles are made in relief, with naturalistic details and an almost grotesque expression, contrasting with the more stylized decoration of the body.
At the bottom, between the little feet, the handwritten signature 'F. Z. Faenza' is visible, followed by the full name 'Franco Zauli' (see attached image).

Conditions: perfect, with sculptor-like details and tones.
