Bead Talisman with Special Design, an etched agate bead from the Indus Valley, dating to 200–1000 AD, in good condition with an antique patina, acquired in 1976 from Pakistan and previously owned from around 1960, and part of the Dr. István Zelnik collection via a gallery/antique dealer.

An etched agate bead talisman with special design from the ancient Burmese, Pyu States cultures.
200 - 1000 AD .
In good condition. It has been cleaned by hand, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient cutting, carving, etching and grinding.The holes are ancient,hand-made,irregular. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased 1975 in Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
