This cotton fabric features a rich botanical motif inspired by William Morris's historic Chrysanthemum pattern. The design is dominated by large, full, layered chrysanthemum flowers, with soft, slightly curved petals that create a voluminous, ornamental effect. The large, ribbed leaves are rendered with fine lines reminiscent of 19th-century botanical illustrations.

The rusty red background is warm, deep, and enveloping: an intense hue that enhances the complexity of the motif and gives the fabric immediate character. A dense weave of branches and decorative leaves in orange and sage tones surrounds the main flowers, creating rhythm and movement without weighing down the composition.

William Morris (Walthamstow, March 24, 1834 – London, October 3, 1896) was a British artist and writer.

Morris was among the main founders of the Arts and Crafts movement; he is considered a forerunner of modern designers and had a significant influence on architecture and architects of his time.

He is considered by many to be the father of the Modern Movement, although he was not an architect himself.
He founded a design studio in collaboration with the artist Edward Burne-Jones and the poet and artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti, which profoundly influenced the decoration of churches and homes in the twentieth century.
He also made an important contribution to the revival of traditional textile arts and the associated production methods.
